It seems like every day of late’s been deemed something or other — Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, so why not designate tomorrow Drum Summit Wednesday?
Beginning at 6:30 p.m. November 28, the Rump-a-pum-pum Drum Summit, hosted at Tulane University’s Dixon Hall Auditorium, will showcase drummers and holiday beats, reworked New Orleans style.
Shannon Powell will ring in the season, New Orleans-style, along with Johnny Vidacovich and ensemble.
Local players Shannon Powell and Johnny Vidacovich will be accompanied by pianist Larry Sieberth and Cuban percussionist Alexey Marti.
