Inaugural Delgado Music Festival to offer free music for a good cause

Delgado Community College’s Music Department will host the first-ever Delgado Music Festival at the school’s City Park campus on Friday, March 31 and Saturday, April 1. The event will be free and open to the public.

Preservation Hall All Stars, Anders Osborne, Stanton Moore, the Iguanas, Stephanie Jordan, Henry Turner and the Delgado Jazz Ensemble are among the artists on the lineup, with music taking place from 11am to 8:30pm each day.

The inaugural festival will be the culmination a week of education activities that is set to include various master classes and the Delgado Songwriting Contest (the winner will perform at the festival).
