Jazz Fest Announces 2016 Lineup

Stevie Wonder, Neil Young with Promise of the Real, Paul Simon, Pearl Jam, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, My Morning Jacket, Snoop Dogg, Van Morrison, Steely Dan, Beck, J. Cole, Flo Rida, Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Gary Clark Jr., Bonnie Raitt, Julio Inglesias, Herbie Hancock & Wayne Shorter and many more will perform at the 2016 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

Other artists on the bill include Michael McDonald, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, Mavis Staples, Janelle Monae, Gov’t Mule, Arlo Guthrie, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Boz Scaggs, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, The Isley Brothers, Grace Potter, Chris Botti, Brandi Carlisle, Punch Brothers, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Rhiannon Giddens, The Lone Bellow, Snarky Puppy, Taj Mahal & The Trio, Los Lobos (performing La Pistola y El Corazon) and Elle King, among others.

As usual, the lineup features plenty of top notch New Orleans artists like Irma Thomas, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Galactic, Anders Osborne, Kermit Ruffins & The BBQ Swingers, Dr. John & The Nite Trippers, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Jon Batiste and Stay Human, Dumpstaphunk with special guest Art Neville, Better Than Ezra, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Mystikal, Davell Crawford, Rebirth Brass Band, Big Freedia, Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster Gentlemen, Ellis Marsalis, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Terrence Blanchard featuring the E-Collective, Donald Harrison Jr. and so many more.

There will also be a tribute to Allen Toussaint hosted by the Allen Toussaint Band with special guests, and a tribute to B.B. King hosted by the B.B. King Band with special guests.

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival will return the the Fair Grounds Race Course in New Orleans from April 22 to May 1. Ticketing information is available via the festival’s website.
