Jon Cleary Announces New Album and Summer Tour

On August 14, New Orleans piano legend Jon Cleary will release GoGo Juice, his eighth studio album to date.

Produced by Grammy-winning producer John Porter (B.B. King, Keb Mo, Ryan Adams), the nine-song recording showcases Cleary’s genre-bending, southern-infused blend of R&B, soul, and funk.

The album was recorded at Dockside Studios deep in the bayou of Louisiana and features Cleary’s band of over a decade, the Absolute Monster Gentlemen, as well as fellow piano player Nigel Hall.

“I wanted to infuse ‘GoGo Juice’ with a sound that was true to the city I’ve grown to love,” Cleary said in a statement. “It’s the kind of record that could only be made in New Orleans.”

In addition to the new album, Cleary has an extensive summer touring schedule, one that includes performances at Bonnaroo, Mountain Jam, and Ronnie Scott’s in London.
