Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra’s New “Prelude” Program Kicks Off Thursday

Prelude” is an introduction to the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra aimed at a younger audience.  It allows new audiences to hear classical music; however, they’re offering much more than classical music to their members.  A $25 membership fee will grant members plenty of incentive to attend events over the concert season with member-exclusive rewards and special events. Membership for the 2010-11 concert season grants members extras such as free or discounted tickets, free food, special seating, etc.

It all begins on Thursday, September 23 at the Launch Party with Jeremy Davenport and LPO musicians at the Ritz-Carlton’s Davenport Lounge.  Members will be treated to free admission, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and “Davenportinis”, and you will be able to join Prelude at the event.  On October 23 at Palmer Park, members receive free admission to the concert, free beer, and special access to the Prelude tent.  On December 11, Prelude will be holding their Classics Concert.  Members not only get to attend the concert at a discount in Prelude’s block of seats, but are also invited to an after party with drink specials and hors d’oeuvres.  On March 26, Prelude presents Sir James Galway, once again with discounted tickets and a post-concert social event.  On April 27, Prelude will be holding a concert in City Park, again with free admission, free beer, and access to the Prelude tent for members.  The concert season comes to an official close with a season-ending party at Latrobe’s.   Members will be greeted with drink specials, and of course, free admission.
