Low Cut Connie to Play Gasa Gasa in New Orleans on May 6

Low Cut Connie, the American rock band, is set to take the stage at Gasa Gasa on May 6 at 8 p.m. with Conor Donohue as their opening act. Based in Philadelphia, PA, the band has become known for its high-energy live performances and frontman Adam Weiner’s stage presence.

Located on Freret Street in New Orleans, Gasa Gasa is a popular spot for live music and has hosted a wide range of local and national acts over the years. The venue is known for its intimate feel, allowing fans to get up close and personal with the artists, and acoustics that make it an ideal venue for concerts.

Low Cut Connie started as an impromptu recording session back in 2010 and has since become a vehicle for Weiner’s songwriting and performance style. NPR Music has praised the band’s only constant member, Weiner, as “masterfully fluent in the foundational languages of Western pop.” Drummer/bassist Jarae Lewis joined Low Cut Connie in 2019, adding to the band’s lineup.

Over the years, Low Cut Connie has gained a loyal following, attracting high-profile endorsements from the likes of former President Barack Obama and music legend Elton John, who has called the band one of his favorites.
