90’s Kid’s Closet Announces April Margaret Place Market

The upcoming “Margaret Place Market ” a new Lower Garden District market that’s been developed by the 90’s Kid’s Closet team is a vintage market will take place in the courtyard of the Margaret Place Hotel, 1133 Margaret Place in the Lower Garden District, on April 8. The free event, which opens at 4 p.m., will feature 10+ vendors offering vintage clothing, sneakers, local art and more.

The Margaret Place Hotel is a five-room boutique hotel that combines futuristic amenities with historic architecture. The hotel has been renovated to National Park Service Standards, maintaining its original historic features while providing comfortable, convenient accommodations for guests at the convergence of the Lower Garden District, Central City and downtown. The Rising Sun, the hotel’s café, will be open during the event, serving food and drinks all afternoon. Rising Sun offers a menu of pastries and breakfast and lunch options combining health-conscious new American dishes with a “progressive approach” to coffee.

Aidan Heap, who is a passionate collector of vintage items, founded the 90’s Kid’s Closet. He began collecting and selling clothes in 2017 and opened his store at 5706 Magazine St. in 2020. The store is stocked vintage tees, toys, movies, posters and other items sourced from the 1990s. 

“We are thrilled to be hosting the ‘Margaret Place Market’ and to bring together vintage clothing, exclusive sneakers and local art vendors in this beautiful location,” said Heap. “We look forward to welcoming visitors to the market and providing them an unforgettable experience.”
