Miami Police Raid Lil Wayne’s Beachfront Mansion

Miami-Dade Police raided New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne’s beachfront property on Tuesday. The Miami Herald reports that a number of cops and lawyers rummaged through the superstar’s 15,101-square-foot Miami Beach mansion after he failed to make payments on a leased private jet.

According to People, the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Department seized more than $2 million worth of property from the 33-year-old rapper, who owes the money as part of a lawsuit. A Miami judge issued an order for police to seize the assets from Lil Wayne’s house on September 30, and they carried out the court order yesterday.

Lil Wayne’s most recent release, Free Weezy Album, dropped earlier this year after the rapper once again delayed the release of his long-awaited album, The Carter V.
