Naughty Professor’s New Video Truly Reflects The Band’s Musical Identity

In the group’s latest visual, Naughty Professor is joined by guest vocalist Cole DeGenova and drummer Alexey Marti who together add a lush layer to the band’s already rich sound. “Mirrors” is an introspective cut that begins with the lyrics “giving, taking is all we ever do” and urges us all to take a good look at ourselves, at others, and the needs we all share. In the background, one can hear the voice of The Revivalists’ David Shaw, and the live-studio element of the video beautifully displays the symbiosis between the musicians.

The pastiche of “Mirrors” is emblematic of the album on which it is housed, “Identity.” With a track listing featuring members of Soul Rebels, Ivan Neville, Cliff Hines, and other NOLA musicians, the album also has guest appearances from Los Angeles hip-hop icon Charlie 2na (of Jurassic 5) and more.
