New Large-Scale Florida Music Festival Reveals Lineup

Last month we reported that a number of concert promoters and producers had announced their plans to bring a large-scale music festival to central Florida. The event–dubbed the Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival–would take place March 4-6, 2016 on an 800 acre property north of picturesque Lake Okeechobee.

Now the new mega-festival has unveiled its initial lineup, which includes headliners Mumford & Sons, Kenrick Lamar and Skrillex.

Other artists on the bill include Grace Potter, Jason Isbell, Portugal. The Man, Big Gigantic, Big Grams (Big Boi and Phantogram), Future, Fetty Wap, Gramatik, Dr. Dog, Lotus and Kamasi Washington, among many others.

The lineup is not without its New Orleans artists either, as the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The Soul Rebels and Walter “Wolfman” Washington & The Roadmasters are all set appear.

The festival will also feature POWOW!, a “superstar mashup with special guests.” As previously reported, Okeechobee is being organized, in part, by Bonnaroo veteran Paul Peck, who developed a reputation as the organizer of that festival’s famed SuperJams.

The full lineup, as well as tickets, for the Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival are available here.
