Night Shade & Poose the Puppet present horror and comedy next week

Co-creators Sarah Frechette and Jason Thibodeaux of Night Shade return to the Mudlark Public Theatre with In the Deadly Nightshade, No One Can Hear You Scream Your Purpoose, in collaboration with recent transplant Benjamin Martin aka: Poose The Puppet and local puppetry artist Milissa Orzolek aka: abandoned ships. Audience members are invited to get lit and witness as Night Shade’s illuminated “Deth Cast” members Necromancer Nadia and Dead Mike conjure forth giant imagery to invoke an esoteric variety show with interactive interviews from the burial realm, a live alchemistic music video, ride the frenzied waves, the ever popular ‘Spew Dating Game’, the birth of Poose-Berry Crunch, plus ~ the secrets of Necromancy.

Puppetry is experiencing a zeitgeist in the New Orleans performance scene. Proof can be seen in the success of Leroy’s Place, a new puppetry arts store located on Royal Street in the Quarter.

“Night Shade does an absolutely mind-blowing horror comedy shadow puppet show,” says Poose.

“This show (Poose The Puppet) is so positivity contagious you’ll catch a reason for living,” adds Night Shade. Abandoned ships is both charming and thought-provoking as it strives to create a space where the inorganic and organic merge”, says Night Shade.

Launching into the line-up is abandoned ships latest creation “how to read a storm” showing Friday night only, on the Mudlark stage. This piece is inspired by an impending feeling of doom due to climate change and a desire for survival, beauty, and joy. Milissa Orzolek aka: abandoned ships has worked on large-scale puppets for Wayne White and Cirque Du Soleil and performed her own original work in most major cities across the U.S.

Pop-in a Poose-Berry to unlock your “Purpoose” (purpose in life) on Saturday and Sunday night, in a hilarious, yet profound live interactive experience fueled by audience participation. “Poose The Puppet” creates a compassionate space where people connect with those around them to feel free to be themselves sparking universal love and self actualization. Benjamin Martin aka: Poose the Puppet is an award-winning performance artist who has been captivating audiences around the globe for 10-plus years.
