The Ozone Music Foundation has officially opened performer applications and songwriter contest submissions for its 2026 Songwriter Festival in historic Covington, Louisiana.
The festival will take place Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, 2026, with a special Friday night showcase event on November 6 featuring a songwriter legend to be announced.
Applications to perform at the 2026 festival, along with submissions for the Louisiana Songwriter Festival Contest, opened on May 25, 2026, and will remain open through July 25, 2026.
With the opening of these two application processes, Ozone Music Foundation invites performing songwriters and musical artists from across Louisiana and beyond to take part in a growing cultural event rooted in the spirit of Louisiana’s creative music community.
The 2026 festival season marks an important period of growth for Ozone Music Foundation as it expands its reach to more songwriters, performers, audiences, partners, venues, sponsors, educators, civic leaders, visitors, and local businesses. The festival continues to serve as a multi-day celebration of original music, live performance, storytelling, and the creative voices that shape Louisiana’s music culture.
The Ozone Songwriter Festival builds on the Foundation’s mission to support live music, original songwriting, music education, artist development, and community access to the arts. Its larger purpose and vision were established by founder and hit songwriter Greg Barnhill, whose work helped shape the Foundation’s commitment to songwriters, performers, students, and communities.
