Photos: New Orleans Suspects, Glen David Andrews Hit Washington D.C.

New Orleans came to visit Washington DC when the New Orleans Suspects and Glen David Andrews pulled into The Hamilton, on Friday, May 27.

Amid the backdrop of Rolling Thunder, the annual Memorial Day Weekend motorcycle pilgrimage to Washington DC in support of our nation’s veterans, the show played to a packed house, bringing some of the sounds and culture of New Orleans to the nation’s capitol.

The Suspects played brand new songs from their upcoming album “Kaleidoscoped” as well as favorites from their previous 3 albums such as “Magdalena”, “Swampthang” and “Yo Flambeaux”. But the evening’s highlight came when they invited Glen David Andrews and a high school friend of bassist Charlie Wooton’s named Graham Breedlove, who plays in the US Army Blues, up on stage to play a rocking version of “Big Chief”.

Glen David Andrews and his band opened the show, with Glen doing his typical MC styled front man magic, leading the crowd in a second line around the club and getting everyone singing.
