Po-breaux’s Offers BOGO Food and Help For Hungry Musicians

The Spotted Cat Music Club, Café Negril and Po-breaux’s, together known as the Frenchmen Crew, have banded together to deliver food and provide much-needed food to the music community with a Buy-One-Get-One (BOGO) offer. For every meal you buy for yourself, the Frenchmen Crew will a supply a meal for an out-of-work musician. Po-breaux’s, located on the second floor of Café Negril, will open Thursday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. for takeout and delivery of food and beverage orders.

In early April, the Frenchmen Crew properties opened to deliver food to over 92 musicians and their families. Bradley Clement and Cheryl Abana-Emmer cooked family meals, while the bartenders and staff of the Spotted Cat Music Club delivered the food to musicians and their families in need.

The BOGO offer will continue the mission to assist musicians and their families in the wake of COVID-19, with the sudden and calamitous stopping of musicians’ gigs.

Orders will be taken at Pobreauxs.com, and include dishes from their unique Filipino C’rona Menu such as Hot Sausage Lumpia, Chicken Adobo and Beef Kalderetta among others, also including vegan and gluten-free options; a to-go drink menu of half and full gallons of Margarita and Frenchmen Punch daiquiris, bottles of wine and six-packs of local brews.

All orders are made through Pobreauxs.com, with orders under $75 available for takeout, and those over $75 with free delivery as an option. Deliveries will be made by some out-of-work musicians, who can also perform a song or two (for a price negotiated with the musician) while socially distancing. Call or email Cheryl for availability (510) 499-3749 or [email protected].
