Recent Best of the Beat triple nominee Maggie Koerner will join Austin based musician Shakey Graves at Gasa Gasa on Freret Street on Thursday, February 20 at 9 pm.

Koerner, who was nominated this year in the Best Female Vocalist, Best Emerging Artist, and Best Country/Folk/Singer-Songwriter Album at the 2013 Best of the Beat awards, has recently been touring with Galactic.
Graves is a relative newcomer to the New Orleans music scene, having only played one previous show in town at the Hi-Ho Lounge. Known for his powerhouse live performances that display his wide array of talents as a one man band, Graves has taken the Austin music scene by storm. Combining Graves’ skills with Koerner’s impressive vocal abilities is likely to yield a dynamic performance.
Koerner appeared on Galactic’s 2011 album Carnivale Electricos and has been touring recently with the band, including their recent Jam Cruise trip. Her album Neutral Ground has been well received.
