The Iceman Special to Make Headline Debut at Tipitina’s

New Orleans-based band The Iceman Special will headline Tip’s for the first time ever on July 15 at 8 p.m.

The Iceman Special is a New Orleans-based four-piece outfit with band members Steve Staples, brothers Will and Charlie Murry and drummer Hunter Romero (part of Cajun rocker Roddie Romero‘s family), and guitarist Steve Staples (who owned International Vintage Guitars for many years). The group’s music combines jam, funk, groove, disco and rock elements, with each member bringing their talents and creativity to the forefront, which has made The Iceman Special a staple of the Louisiana music scene. Recently, the group announced its annual Fête du Void lineup featuring the Lost Bayou Ramblers, Saxkixave, and more.

We spoke with the band’s guitarist, Steve Staples, who was very excited about the upcoming show. He let us know that there will be a notable upgrade at the show, stating that, “It’s going to be a midsummer party! We have developed a whole new laser light show for this performance.” Additionally, Steve let us in on a limited edition secret. He was very excited to announce that, in an effort to give back to day one fans, the band will be selling one-night-only vinyls for the band’s upcoming album

Tickets for The Iceman Special’s performance at Tipitina’s on July 15 are now available. For more information and to secure your tickets, visit the band’s official website.
