Trombone Shorty Reveals New Year’s Plans

Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue will bring their brand of high-energy funk rock to Port Chester, NY this New Year’s Eve. The celebration will also feature a performance from Jazz Fest regulars Soulive, who will play the night’s opening set.

The show is slated to take place at the historic Capitol Theatre, an 1800-capacity venue just north of New York City that was reopened in 2012 after extensive renovations. Tickets for the event will go on sale this Friday, September 19 at noon ET.

Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue are set to ring in the New Year following a stacked fall touring schedule, which will bring the band to Europe for two weeks in support of alternative rock megastars the Foo Fighters. Additionally, both Trombone Shorty and Soulive will hit the high seas this January when they join Dr. John, Galactic and many more on Jam Cruise, a one-of-a-kind music festival/cruise that will make stops in Miami, FL, Belize City, Belize and Cozumel, Mexico.
