“We cherish Joan of Arc so much in France and New Orleans. She was such a brave young woman, inspiring for a nation. She is still a symbol of resistance against adversity, an iconic character, at the core of our joint history,” said New Orleans Consul General of France Grégor Trumel, a Salon panelist participant, in a press statement. “I am so proud to talk about her and pay a tribute at Loyola.”

Trumel will be featured in a panel discussion with local author Bobby Matherne revolving around Joan’s influence on current culture. Another discussion will have guest author Dr. Janet Lynn Roseman and local women leaders discuss how Joan influenced their lives. Other discussions will feature Joan of Arc in photography, in music and more.
