[Watch] OffBeat Streets, Ep. 3: The Secondhand Street Band is V.I.P.

It’s difficult to run a series on street music in New Orleans without mentioning a band that labels itself as a ‘street band.’ This week, the Secondhand Street Band takes on the heat of an early summer afternoon in the French Quarter.

The band, fronted by Dan Ruch and Adam Lessnau is a regular in those streets, drawing inspiration from New Orleans’ traditional brass band music as well as all-American pop culture classics. Soon, the band will take the road for what will be their fifth and most substantial tour up to date, with 18 stops leading to Colorado.

Here, they dive into a rendition of Youngblood Brass Band’s “V.I.P.” with a bonus little 90’s kid nugget to wrap it up.
