Yuengling, the oldest continuously operating brewing company in the United States, has finally expanded to Louisiana, and they’re throwing a free party to celebrate.

Slated for Thursday, August 4, the celebration will begin at 6pm with outdoor sets from Flow Tribe and Big Sam’s Funky Nation at Fulton Street near Fulton Alley. A second line will then lead the festivities to the Howlin’ Wolf, where Cowboy Mouth will close things out with a show of their own. Yuengling beers will be available for $2 at the event.

Admission to the shows will be free, however fans will only be guaranteed a spot if they RSVP beforehand. All proceeds from the party will benefit the Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation.

Originally founded in 1829, Yuengling has established itself as a high-quality-yet-affordable beer in much of the United States’ East Coast, as well as parts of the South and Midwest. The brewery begins distributing in Louisiana today.
