Applications Closed this Year for Musicians to Play French Quarter Festival

Bad news for musicians who are interested in applying to French Quarter Festival this year: they are already booked. According to Greg Schatz, entertainment manager of the festival, there is no FQF (French Quarter Festival ) 2021 application but artists who were on the FQF 2020 lineup are automatically in consideration.

Schatz states: “This year’s lineup will have as many artists who were scheduled to perform at FQF 2020 as possible within a reduced footprint with fewer stages than usual.  Any artists from the FQF 2020 roster that do not make it into the FQF 2021 lineup will be given priority for FQF 2022. Members of our entertainment committee will make decisions about the programming as they do every year.  FQF always features a large roster of excellent local acts.
“For FQF 2022 we will be back to using an online application accessible from our website, www.fqfi.org. It only takes a few minutes to fill out and artists can provide links to their websites, videos and music on the form.  The application period usually starts June 1st with a deadline of September 1st, for the next French Quarter Festival, which should be back in April by 2022.”
Last year’s line up included Tank and the Bangas, John Boutté , Amanda Shaw, Irma Thomas and the Hot 8 Brass Band.
