Casmè follows virtual trend, debuts new album with videography this week

If the viewership of the NAACP Awards and the SXSW Festival in comparison to the Grammy’s this year have shown us anything, it’s that artists need to adapt to the changes of an entirely new music landscape. Local singer Casmè is no exception to the rule, as she brings her latest LP to the virtual world this week.

You may have seen Casmè presenting at the Best of the Beat Awards. Most recently she has been seen around town stomping and singing on the campaign trail for Troy Carter or doing commercial videos and jingles for attorney Stephen Hecker. She also performed as an opener for this year’s NAACP Image Awards. Now she is continuing what she calls her Casmè Gumbo Experience this Wednesday, debuting fresh new recordings and a blue-hued hair look for the month of March.

The monthly experience includes music premieres, live concert footage, interviews, skits, and more.  “I am so excited to present this gumbo experience for my fans,” says the former NBC The Voice singer. “My team and I worked extremely hard last year to make sure this venture would bring joy to many in 2021. I pray that, through this project,my God-given talents are able to make you dance, tap your feet, reminisce, dream again, nod your head, or sing along as you join me for an experience of all that music has to offer.”

To watch the virtual show March 31 (beginning at 7 p.m. CDT) through April 7 and to purchase tickets, visit Casmè’s website here.
