Red Bull Terminal Takeover Returns to New Orleans Airport

The Red Bull Terminal Takeover is set to return for the third year at the old New Orleans airport, featuring two days of park and street skateboarding action. The event will take place on April 14-15 and conclude with the first-ever “Red Bull Terminal Takeover: After Hours” concert, hosted by New Orleans native and Fly Society founder, Curren$y.

Skateboarding crews from all over the country will compete in the ultimate jam session, capturing their content and editing it into a video for a fan-sourced vote. The winning team will receive prize money for their chosen organization.

The concert will celebrate the connection between hip-hop and skate culture, showcasing local artists and featuring skate-inspired artwork and lifestyle designed by local artists as elements on the stage’s backdrop. Republic NOLA will host the event, with Curren$y as the host. The night’s lineup will include Louisiana artists FreshxReckless, Pell, Kings of Brass, Fendi P, 504 Icy Girl, and budding rapper and women’s basketball college national champion Flau’jae Johnson from LSU.

“Red Bull Terminal Takeover: After Hours” is the natural progression of the event, which has welcomed crews from all over the country for the past two years. The competition has already established itself in the skateboarding world and is now spreading beyond the airport skatepark and into the city’s music scene.
