In our current issue, art director Elsa Hahne documents as much of George Porter, Jr.‘s career as we can manage in one graphic (omitting 45s, which would require a Playboy-like centerfold to fit them all). He played on David Byrne’s Uh-Oh album and the subsequent tour. That tour was shot for a VHS-only concert film, Between the Teeth, which was released in 1994. Here’s that band’s version of the Talking Heads’ “Life During Wartime” that features Porter (in a suit!) prominently in the opening.
